FCB - Downsizing Strategies

This was one of my favorite videos in the First Citizens Bank explainer series because we got to incorporate playful character animations. A cast of bird characters guided viewers through the story of a mom and pop figuring out their best downsizing strategy after their kid left home. I mapped out the video’s timing, edited, and animated most of the scenes, while Phil brought the early bird sequences and the last scene to life.

With so many characters to animate, time and budget constraints meant we sometimes had to scale back on certain details. Scherry’s designs were fantastic, though, which made the video stand out overall. Both the agency and the client loved the final result, and it still feels like one of the most memorable pieces in the series.
